Working from home has it’s pro’s and con’s, we all know this. As a work from home mom, I see the list clearly.
This is why I need all the inspiration I can possibly get in order to keep myself in high spirits throughout the long workday. Working from home isn’t a piece of cake, especially as a small business owner.
Trust me when I say, you need all the motivational and uplifting quotes you can get. And I’ve come up with very heartfelt and motivational ones that I made myself.
I’m not very good at quoting others, mostly because I’m not the best at actually memorizing sayings, except the ones my mom constantly tells me. Those I can look back on because they’ve been said to me growing up all my life.
Nope, I’m more of a create your own type of quote. I feel like there’s an extra boost of motivation that comes along with that.
You need some inspiring quotes when you work from home.
Why? I mean, working from home can get pretty lonely. You can end up losing yourself onto the computer for hours on end and forgetting to wash your hair.
Working from home can become addicting and time-consuming. Some days I forget to even check my phone messages and I’m scrolling, a little surprised I missed a text message from a friend.
My point is, keep the inspiration flowing through yourself every morning you wake up and get ready to start your work from home day. Have that morning routine on point to accomplish ALL of your tasks and goals.
The sooner you get a morning routine down, the better. One of my most important things to include in my morning routine (that I seriously always try to do as a work from home mom) is to load the dishwasher overnight (to have clean dishes in the morning) and get dressed for the day.
To me it makes me feel better about myself if I look presentable. Even though I am just going to be at home, I know that if I’m in my pajamas all day the chances of me getting anything done are pretty slim.
Here’s a few inspiring words I tell myself when I wake up:
Work from home inspiring quotes.
- You CAN do this. Focus and stay positive. You’re one step closer to accomplishing your GOALS.
Stay positive during your work from home journey because it’s so easy to get sidetracked. I wasn’t completely on board with being a blogger and working from home.
There were some definite doubts if I was even cut out for this blogging lifestyle. I quit once or twice but I kept coming back to it.
My love for writing kept me going and I finally settled on being a full-time blogger as my career. Just think to yourself every morning, I am one step CLOSER to accomplishing my goals.
Because YOU ARE. Every single day you’re working for it.
Whatever goals you set for yourself, every day that passes by you get closer and closer to accomplishing them. And that’s something you should use to inspire and motivate yourself.
As a small business owner and a working from home person, you need to set goals for yourself that you can accomplish. You’ll want them to keep yourself motivated.
Working from home means success is coming for you.
- You chose to work from home to aspire for financial freedom. Being successful is just going to come for you.
Why did you start working from home? I’m guessing one of those motives included inspiring financial freedom.
Maybe you really want to buy a home, get rid of mounting debts, or just give your kids a better life than you had. There are so many reasons to aspire for financial freedom.
That’s usually why people pursue working from home so much. However, my only motive was my children and eventually be a homeschool mom as well.
Whatever your motive was for working from home, either way, you are going to be successful. Tell yourself this every single day.
Because guess what? You NEED to hear this.
Telling yourself this is an inspiring quote is the best thing you can do for your mental health. When you tell yourself that success is just coming to you, it’ll happen.
Do you believe in positive affirmations? I sure do.
I always say all of my positive affirmations in the name of God, because I love God and I have faith in Him. To me, God has always been there and will be there for me always.

- There are no excuses today. Get your work done with a smile because you’re doing what you LOVE for a living.
I don’t know what your work from home job is. But I know that writing is something I absolutely love and can’t ever seem to stop doing.
To me, writing is the most therapeutic skill in the world out there. I do have a job that I LOVE doing.
That’s a huge reason to get my work done with a smile on my face today. Do you have a work from home job you absolutely love?
Are you doing what you LOVE to do for a living? If so, consider yourself blessed.
A lot of people don’t have that luxury. I’m not sure I would have been ever able to do this if it wasn’t for the love and support my husband has given me over the years.
There are no excuses. You need to get your work done and be happy that you’re able to do what you love for a living.
- Work hard with love in your heart. Do all of your work with kindness all over your actions. God loves when you have a positive attitude.
I don’t know about you but I find it pretty difficult to get my work done if I’m angry inside or bitter. Those emotions just do NOT go well with my job.
You need to have love in your heart and a skip in your step. I wish I was exaggerating.
For me though, I’m not. God loves when you have a positive attitude.
I didn’t always have a positive mindset I do now. In fact, just a few short years ago, I had a pretty negative one.
Thankfully, I overcame that. And I even wrote a book on it too.
I was a very unhappy stay at home mom battling postpartum depression. It runs in my family.

- You may not be where you WANT to be right this second. If you continue to work hard, you will see results and soon.
Sometimes, you need to speak to yourself in a productive yet inspiring way. Nobody is going to be your personal cheerleader every single day.
And you shouldn’t expect them to be! You got this, you can do this on your OWN.
Loving yourself and motivating yourself should be something you can do on your own, especially if you want to work from home. The reason I say that is because a lot of us small business owners have a lot of setbacks.
It’s no secret that you have to work hard for your income. You may not be making what you wanted to every single month.
It takes time to be successful. But if you continue to work hard and I mean every single day, you are bound to see the results very soon.
You just can’t give up. Giving up too quickly can ruin all the hard work you’ve been doing so far.
It would be a waste! Tell yourself that consistency really is key for the small business owner.
Get all of your work DONE.
- It’s another day. Grab your caffeine, tie your hair up, and get that work DONE.
I say this to myself most days. You need these motivating quotes in your life, trust me.
Some nights are long. I could be up working until 10:45 p.m. after a long day of homeschooling and dealing with toddler tantrums.
All while trying to squeeze work in, chores, and cooking. There are days I want to throw my hands up in the air and just crawl back into bed.
That’s not something I let myself do anymore. And I’m truly glad I don’t.
What do you accomplish with giving up? Nothing worth documenting, I’ll tell you that much.
God gave you another day to live, so you need to make the most out of it. Don’t take your precious days for granted.
I will brew myself a cup of black tea, throw my hair up in a bun, and get my day started. My babies depend on me and I have stuff to do as a mom and a wife.
Stay motivated because you got this. Get your work done daily, as much as you can so that you can feel like you put in a hard day’s work.
I’m not saying taking days off for your mental health isn’t necessary though. Because they truly are.
However, some days you need to power through the feeling of wanting to crawl back into bed. This will benefit you in the long run and make you into a more successful person with good habits.
The last of my work from home inspiring quotes.
- No matter what, I will get it ALL done. Negative people don’t affect me or my mindset. God’s got me.
If you’re a small business owner working from home, chances are you’ve heard more than once some negative talk about your work. It could be something so simple as “You should get a company job. Working for yourself is too hard. Don’t do it.”
Those words can make or break a person. Just don’t let it get to you.
Stay strong and keep yourself motivated with your at-home job. Don’t let what people say about you negatively impact your life or your business.
Having your own small business is an accomplishment in itself. Don’t lose sight of that and keep your chin up.
- Life is all about learning and growing. Your work is evolving and you’re becoming more and more successful. Don’t let anyone take away your shine!
I didn’t just wake up one day and say, “I want to be a blogger.” Back when I was younger, I actually thought bloggers were pretty cool but I never thought I could actually make blogging into my full-time job.
Well, I did and it happened. So, don’t stop believing in yourself.
If someone wants to be negative towards you and try to take away your shine, don’t let them! It’s just not worth it, to give up on your dreams.
There aren’t a lot of people who can wholeheartedly say they love what they do for a living. I know this is true and so do you.
Stay positive, motivated, and on top of this work from home thing. You got this and you don’t need anyone’s approval.
You have this dream and you’re making it work. That’s something to be so happy and thankful for.
This alone should keep you motivated to keep going and wake up every single day to keep building up your empire. Thank God for that!
I really hope these work from home inspiring quotes helped you feel motivated to get your workday DONE and completed, despite everything you have going on in your life today. Just remember that the only person you need to prove anything to, is yourself.
God loves you just the way you are. You’re working from home, doing what you love and you’re happy.
What more can you ask for? It’s important to keep yourself happy and motivated, though.
