Hello all, today I wanted to share with you my amazing Fall Self Care Checklist. The fall season is here and I absolutely love everything about fall, including having cute fall decor inside of my planner.

I’m a planner girl, if you didn’t know, now you know and I’m all for advocating self-care and self-love. Having beautiful seasonal decor in my planner is just something that personally makes me happy, no matter what.

Also, decorating my house with pumpkin decor is something I love doing. In the spirit of the beautiful fall season, I’ve created a free fall printable self-care checklist of 15 ideas that I hope you’ll enjoy.

You can use it to decorate your planner that’s meant for your personal use only. I hope you enjoy it!

Why is self-care so important?

If you’ve visited my blog before, you’ll notice I have a lot of self-care love and self-worth posts out there. Why?

It’s a passion of mine to spread the word about self-care, self-worth, self-love, and the power of positive affirmations to my audience. Self-care is so important because, in order for you to have a happy and successful life, you need to be in a good mental state.

The beauty of self-care is that when you take care of yourself, you are loving yourself. When you are happy, you’re bringing in that good positive energy into your life.

You’re believing something good is about to happen to you. Because God wants you to be happy.

God thinks you deserve to be happy and you are worth more than diamonds and rubies. I always thank Him for my many blessings, every single day.

I have a lot to be thankful for, and thanking God for the good in my life reminds me of how blessed I am. I’m thankful to God for all He continues to do in my life. It’s not something I take for granted.

Make sure you’re taking the time to remain grateful and humble to God. Also, remind yourself you are worth so much in life.

Keep yourself accountable.

The beauty of having a self-care checklist around is to hold you accountable. Sure, I can SAY I’ll take care of myself mentally, physically, and emotionally.

But, honestly some days I am so busy, I won’t remember, especially after a trying day with the kids. So, printing out a self-care checklist is so very helpful to me.

I tape it into my B6 staology, which I am currently planning in, and just check off the items as I go. It also gives me time to craft and decorate my planner.

I consider this my “me time” and that makes me very happy! All too often, we forget to make time in our schedule for ourselves and that can cause stress in all parts of our life.

Fall Self Care Checklist.

Candles are soothing and aromatic. Personally, I believe the sense of smell is so powerful.

Whenever I walk into a good smelling room, filled with delicious smells, I automatically smile, close my eyes, and breathe in deeply. Peace comes to me when there are great scents filling the air.

Fall always reminds me of pumpkin spice smell EVERYTHING. It’s my absolute favorite scent for the fall season.

Not to mention it’s my favorite Starbucks flavor and creamer flavor. I don’t drink coffee anymore, I’m more of a tea girl.

My favorite type of tea is black tea. I drink it every day.

Writing in my prayer journal allows me to talk out everything I am feeling to the Lord. Sometimes, after a particularly hard day with life and the kids, a prayer journal entry is all I need so that I can relax and go to sleep peacefully, without any negative thoughts weighing down my mind.

There’s nothing better for me than writing out my feelings to God. It makes me feel heard and valued.

After a prayer session with God, I always feel so much better and like I can relax. Because in my heart, I truly know God has my back and will protect me always.

The fall season is meant for decor.

One of my favorite things to do is use face masks that really help my skin stay healthy. Reducing blackheads is big on my list.

Having a pumpkin scented spa face mask to brighten up my skin is so ideal. There’s nothing better than that!!

  • Decorate your home with pumpkin, leaves, and fall decor.

I’m a huge fan of decorating my home for the holidays. To be specific, my favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas.

However, I still enjoy decorating for the Fall season before heading into Thanksgiving. My most favorite item to decorate with is fake pumpkins!

Yes, you can always find these adorable pumpkins out in my home, on my kitchen table, or entertainment center for some fall inspiration! Have your children decorate too.

The fun part is going with my children and letting them pick out a few decorations for their room. It’s a fun little family project to do.

  • Put your fall makeup on with natural shimmer eye shadow and the perfect lashes to go with it.

My favorite brand of makeup is Elf. I constantly use the same neutral eye shadow palette.

I’m pretty consistent with the products I use. Once I have a favorite that works for me, I rarely switch it up.

I’ve been working on that! But, to me, I like to use products that don’t irritate my sensitive skin and aren’t too hard to scrub off my face.

It’s my favorite because it sort of blends in with my skin and makes my makeup look pretty natural. My favorite lipstick ever is the Elf matte lipstick.

Even the liquid eyeliner I use is from Elf! Also, I love their shade in the foundation and I use Maybelline powder.

  • Watch a love movie with your significant other.

Emotional self-care is important, too.

Taking care of yourself emotionally counts as self-care too. Self-care doesn’t always need to be about self-care checklists and routines.

Self-care can be emotionally guiding yourself. A way to do that is to become more sentimental with yourself and take the time to express your self-love.

Learning to be sensitive towards your own emotions can help you emotionally take care of yourself better. You’re responding to your needs earlier, and you’ll appreciate yourself for that later.

Here’s a great idea for emotional self-care:

  • Write yourself a letter of: “20 things you love about yourself.” Seal it and save it to read next year in the Fall.

I get sentimental when I look back on old memories and photos, but a letter to myself? That definitely would touch my heart.

Especially with what I love about myself, it’s a real confidence booster. Coming back to it a year later will have to add more value to the letter.

  • Have pumpkin pie for dessert.
  • It’s pumpkin spice latte time, so don’t forget to stop by Starbucks and pick one up. Or grab the pumpkin spice creamer at the store. It’s out!

Honestly, nothing gets me in the fall spirit more than a great pumpkin-inspired drink. Since I no longer drink coffee due to it upsetting my stomach, I drink black tea.

  • Walkthrough the crunchy leaves and let your kids jump around in them! So beautiful.

I love to take pictures of my kids enjoying the fall. Often, I take photos of us enjoying something off the Starbucks menu while I enjoy my pumpkin spice tea.

We do lots of fall-inspired kids’ crafts together too. Most of the craft ideas we will get off of Pinterest and try them out.

My kids usually have a blast crafting fall style! And Pinterest truly has the best fall-inspired crafts created by all sorts of talented people wanting to share.

  • Go to your local pumpkin patch! Take pictures and print them to look back on them later.

My children LOVE the pumpkin patch. It’s a family tradition of ours to go once a year.

My kids love to play there and I can’t help but become a photographer and take so many pictures! I often print out these fun memories into a family album book to look back on later on.

I remember once when my oldest wanted to take her fake pumpkin with her and I had to reassure her that we’d find her a real small pumpkin. That was one of the best years ever!

The last of the self-care checklist.

  • Change your phone wallpaper to fall leaves.

I love to constantly change my phone wallpaper out. Recently, I created 2 beautiful free iPhone wallpapers in my mom and daughter quotes blog post.

Phone wallpapers are meant to change! Change it according to your mood for some inspiration.

  • Decorate your planner fall themed. You can get cute supplies on Etsy or at Michael’s!

Michael always has the cutest seasonal paper pads. Whenever I buy them, my kids use them all up doing crafts, creating their own booklets, or cutting out the images and pasting them!

Seasonal paper pads are the best when it comes to decorating your planner. Every single one I’ve purchased we have used all up!

Sometimes, I get to save them and use them for next year. Honestly, I prefer to make my own stickers than to purchase decorative stickers online.

I’m more of a DIY person. Make sure you’re subscribed because I always create new monthly freebies for planner ladies out there!

For my planner system, I enjoy decorating my bullet journal. However, I do not decorate my work planner even though I am highly considering adding a ring planner to my planner system.

  • Read a book you’ve been wanting to read outside and smell the fresh air.

I love reading a good book with a nice smelling pumpkin spice candle lit up. There’s just something relaxing about reading the latest novel on a quiet fall evening that makes me so happy.

  • Make time to go pick some apples with your kiddos.
