Dealing with toddler tantrums.
It’s been another beautiful week I thank God for. Today I wanted to chat with all the mamas with multiple children out there dealing with toddler tantrums. I love being a mom, don’t get me wrong! I absolutely enjoy taking care of my babies. However, the work doubles with two as do dealing with toddler tantrums. Double the spit up, diapers, toys thrown about, and dirty laundry. My oldest was 4 when I had my youngest and I had forgotten what it was like changing diapers. Attempting to breastfeed again? Oh man. I had even forgotten what LABOR felt like! Ugh.
Seriously though, raising littles has my hair standing at its’ ends at times. It takes unlimited patience that I had to learn! Even when they say it’s easier with the second I have to disagree. Yes, you’re a more experienced mother but you can never be fully prepared for each child, simply because every child is DIFFERENT.
From random blow out diapers to both of them having meltdowns AT THE SAME TIME, it’s been real to say the very least.
How about you? Do you have multiple children? If so, how do you deal with those tantrums or meltdowns we so often encounter?
My oldest and youngest are so different from one another when it comes to meltdowns. My oldest cries a lot, yet my youngest gets angrier. Their personalities are so different. I usually console my oldest with cuddles and my youngest will be just fine with a distraction.
Books soothe my children during tough times.
Reading books in my household works so well. My children LOVE Llama llama books. Here’s a link so you can get Llama llama’s little library, if you haven’t already.
What works best for you and your children? Feel free to leave comments below so we can chat, moms!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Till next time,
