Reading the Bible and having it for reference is super helpful too. You need to read and understand the Word in order to grow with God.
Not only does this strengthen my relationship with God but also reminds me of his love every day. It helps to keep a daily devotional app on your phone too if you are constantly out and about.
Personally, I have two on my cell phone that I use a lot. It helps me while I’m working to focus on God.
If you don’t have a Bible, you really need to invest in one. I’ve had a lot of Bibles throughout my life and my favorite is a small pink one by husband gifted me.
If you’re a planner girl like me, the last helpful tip I can offer you to strengthen your relationship with God is to have a section in your ring planner dedicated to God. I use a prayer devotional insert in my Filofax personal planner.
When I have a spare moment before bed I read the Word and spend quiet time with God. You can also use an engraved beautiful Christian pen to write in it.
15 inspirational quotes about God and faith.
As most of you know that have been subscribed to mrsplanahead, I like to create my own quotes because I love to write them! I’ve also written prayers for guidance and protection.
Also, there are helpful and inspiring women of faith quotes I shared recently as well. Here are 15 inspirational quotes you’ll love about God and faith.
- Don’t lose hope. Remember that God will always love and protect you.
I’ve had so many times in my life where I was losing hope but I held on strongly to God because I know that God will always love and protect me. Sometimes, you need to believe in your faith and accept that God will take care of you.
- You’re a beautiful soul that God protects fiercely.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a loved one doubt themselves. Sometimes, I want to remind them that God protects them so fiercely.
There’s a reason why God does that! It’s because he loves you so much.
Positive affirmations will change your life.
- God loves you for who you are. He thinks the world of you. It’s time you start thinking about it too.
We all battle with self-esteem issues from time to time. What really helped me gain confidence about myself and to really believe in my blogging was having a positive mindset.
Ever since I started saying my daily positive affirmations I have felt so much better about myself! You can get your copy of my 30 days of positive affirmations down below!
- Whenever you are feeling down or alone, remind yourself that you have a loving God who will never leave you. You are God’s precious gift and he will always love you.
- There are times when I feel tired, alone, and afraid. My anxiety could be at an all-time high and I still breathe, let go, and trust that God will come to my rescue.
This is so true. During my pre-term labor, I came to realize that I needed to let go and let God.
There will be moments in your life when sometimes, you’ll have to just trust in God. During those times, it’s best to pray and not give up hope.

- Be patient and wait in the Lord. Pray and read scripture while you wait. Listen to worship music and trust in the Lord while you wait. But, WAIT. You will hear his voice soon enough.
I love to listen to my worship music and write out a prayer to God. That’s the time I feel like I am spending time with the Lord and making an effort.
That alone makes me feel good and at peace with myself. Taking the time to focus on God is so good for our souls.
- Don’t envy others. God made you the way you are for a reason. Love yourself the way he loves you.
Envying others will get you nowhere. Whenever I am near an envious person, I really just try to be on my way.
I truly do not like that type of negative energy. The people I’m close to and surround myself with don’t like that type of energy either.
My advice on dealing with an envious person in your life? Pray for them because they need prayer.
Don’t surround yourself with them because you may become just like them and start envying what is not yours. God makes that clear in the Bible to not envy others.
Make sure you’re surrounding yourself with people who send you good vibes and positive energy. You don’t need to be around envious people.
God gives us everything and more.
- Don’t expect too much from others. Expect everything from God.
A lot of times we trust in people way too much. We’re let down a lot of times throughout our lives.
I’ve learned to just expect the very best from God, all of the time. Mostly because I learned that people can hurt you and let you down.
So, don’t expect too much for people. However, you should expect the highest from God because that’s how much he loves and cares for you.
- God has blessed you with so much. Be grateful and remind yourself how blessed you truly are.
- Don’t take precious moments for granted. Jesus loves you. Make sure you cherish the special times you get with your loved ones.
A lot of times, life can get so hectic and busy that we start to believe we don’t have enough time to be thankful for all of the blessings God has given us. That’s completely just not true.
Trust me when I say, I feel SUPER busy all of the time. I make time to feel grateful even during the busiest of times.
Since I am constantly looking at my planners for the majority of my day, I made sure to include a gratitude planner insert I can fill out as often as I’d like. It’s truly helped keep my grounded and to appreciate all of God’s blessings.
Bible verses of faith.
I get asked a lot about why and how I believe in God. People want to know how I believe in God when I can’t see him.
There are a lot of Bible verses explaining faith in the Bible. I like to explain it by sharing a few of my personal life experiences that bought me closer to the Lord.
Because I have gone through trying times when I have felt alone and all by myself. God has been there for me in my times of need and has helped me to grow spiritually.
In the Bible it says, “Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3. I understand that it’s hard for people to believe in God because they can’t see him.
I grew up in church and so did my husband. We’ve been taught about Jesus since we were little and we’re both Christians.
That’s helped my faith so much. However, my personal life experiences have bought me so much closer to God than from what I learned from church.
The rest of the inspirational quotes about God and faith.
- God wants you to treat others with kindness and respect. Don’t let him down.
I know how hard it can be to treat unkind people with kindness and respect. I’m not saying I’m perfect!
However, try and make an effort to be more like God. He’s set the highest example of what we can be through his actions and love in the Bible.
I’m constantly wanting to be more like God. You should too!
Start by being kind to others and treating them with respect. God loves when we treat our neighbors with love.
- In times of sadness, despair, anger, and resentment I run to the feet of the Lord. I take shelter in his love and Word. I do the same in times of joy and happiness. God isn’t a part-time God. Don’t be a part-time believer.
God wants us to believe in Him all the time.
I’m serious when I say I believe in God full-time! Are you a full-time believer in Jesus?
I hope you are. We need to remain 100% all throughout our days.
We can’t just “act” like we are Christian, come home, and press the OFF button on being Christian. Faith doesn’t work that way.
Love doesn’t work that way. God doesn’t work that way.
Practice what you’re constantly preaching about God to others. But, don’t act a certain way 25% of your time.
God knows when you’re trying and when you’ve given up.
- Live the way God sees fit. He will give you joy.
- My God is faithful, forgiving, and loyal. I strive to be more like him day after day.
- Be faithful to God. Try to live a Godly life and please him. God will be happy and bless you.
Sometimes, when I mention living a Godly life to others, I see just how confused they really are. To me, it’s not a big deal but I still feel a little bad for them.
God does so much for us, day after day that I want to live a Godly life just to please him. I can’t imagine any other way.
How can you grow your faith in God?
I always wondered does one grow their faith in God. When I was younger, I always tried to find an answer to that question.
The truth of the matter is that only you can grow your faith in God by seeking Him. You need to seek God out and consistently.
Day after day, you need to make an effort to talk to the Lord, tell him about your day, and talk to him throughout your day. Sit at the Lord’s feet and wait for Him to talk to you.
Try to grow your faith by listening to sermons everyday. Listen to Christian music and pray everyday.
Grow your faith in God by surrounding yourself by like minded people. This will help you talk to others who believe in God and help you make friendships that truly matter.
Teach your children all the good things about the Lord. Read books about him and read about him.
Go to church and take notes on the Sunday sermon. Make an effort and do your part.
