For those who know me, I’m not super amazing at cooking. However, I recently made my own french toast recipe with ingredients from brands I LOVE.

My family eats this up whenever I make it! I prefer to make a whole batch at one time and I love how quick the prep for making this french toast is.

This is my first time ever sharing a food recipe on my blog! The next time I ever make something this delicious, I’ll be sure to share it here next.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to my food and the ingredients that I use due to my sensitive stomach. If you have sensitive stomach issues, then this French toast may be the one for you!

I did go ahead and take my own photos of my favorite ingredients and the process of making this. Enjoy and make sure to bookmark this to come back to it later.

Ingredients for french toast easy recipe.

Here are the ingredients and names of brands I use for making my french toast:

  • 2 eggs (I use Simple truth organic eggs or Happy egg co)
  • 1/4 cup of milk (I use simple truth organic milk or the regular 2% Ralph’s brand milk)
  • 1 tablespoon of organic ground cinnamon (I use the Spicely organic spices brand)
  • 1 teaspoon of organic vanilla extract (I use the simple truth organic Madagascar brand)
  • 1 loaf of bread (The best brand of bread I have found that won’t tear when soaking in the Artesano bakery bread. I prefer the golden wheat brand for digestive issues)
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered brown sugar (I use the Cane brand)
  • Syrup of your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon of butter for the skillet.

The steps in making this tasty French toast.

STEP 1: Mix the eggs, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla extract together in a plastic container/tub that will fit the French toast in it. I use a whisk to make sure the eggs mix well because a spoon doesn’t do the trick for me!

This is how it looks for me when it’s well mixed. I really believe the cinnamon makes the recipe come together and gives it that delicious taste.

STEP 2: Soak the bread in this delicious mixture. I’ve been able to soak it with this certain bread for a while without it tearing at all.

Artesano bakery bread has worked so well for me in making the best French toast.

STEP 3: Make sure to coat the other side of the bread in the mixture.

The last of the steps for this easy and yummy recipe.

STEP 4: Place onto your skillet. Make sure to coat it with butter of your choice. There’s a lot of healthy options available for butter out there.

I like to put plenty of butter in mine because I usually put 3-4 slices of bread in here when making French toast. An entire loaf feeds my family with a bit of extra leftover for the next day.

I do have to make this mixture twice for a whole entire loaf but that changes depending on how hungry everyone is. Sometimes, they want a lot and some days I only have to use up one mixture.

STEP 5: Place the toast on the skillet. Have the heat on low or medium (whatever you prefer.) I like to have mine on medium heat to finish quicker and I like to make them toasty for my family.

STEP 6: Sprinkle some powdered brown sugar on it and add syrup. You can use whatever brown sugar you want but this is the one my family prefers.
