4 fun family weekend ideas.
Hey all, today I wanted to share with you 4 fun family weekend ideas. It’s the weekend and it’s time to rest. I’m currently sipping my coffee, enjoying writing out what I want to say today. In addition, there’s something about taking the first sip of coffee before writing that I find so relaxing.
I don’t know about you, but just because it’s the weekend doesn’t really mean it’s break time. My kids are so full of energy and always on the go. That’s fine and all but I like to keep a list nearby of ideas on what to do simply because some days I just forget. We can’t all be super organized moms ALL the time. If you’re at home this weekend trying to think of some ideas for you and your kids, don’t worry I tried to think of good ones.

4 fun family weekend ideas.
- Take a trip to the library and the park right after. I have used this idea so many times! The public library for the most part should be open on Saturday’s and it’s a perfect time to play educational games on the computer, attend a Storytime, check out new books, and there are even DVD’s there. I love to take my oldest there first and AFTERWARDS to the park. That way we can catch up on reading and learning then play afterwards.
- Target run and healthy restaurant for lunch afterwards. My favorites are Panera Bread and Subway. They have great kid’s meal choices! Don’t forget it’s your weekend too, mama. Target has some cute and affordable stuff. I went recently to get myself some more makeup while grabbing some items for dinner AND picking out a few inexpensive toys and crafts for my child. This is self care here. Going to a store you and your child really like is never a bad choice.
- Bubble fun. My kids LOVE playing with bubbles. I usually grab a few at whatever store I’m at just to stock up. My kids can’t ever have enough bubbles! They are so affordable at the Dollar Tree and you can find them in the following link. Everything always $1 – Shop Now
- Arts and crafts ideas from Pinterest. If there’s EVER a craft I’m wondering about, Pinterest is the way to go. Pinterest has tons of craft ideas. Recently, it was St. Patrick’s Day and my daughter wanted to do a craft for a leprechaun trap. I didn’t know how to do it but I found some easy tutorials online that helped me.
All in all, family time is the BEST time!
There are tons of more family ideas to do. These are the ones I personally do more often with my kids. These ideas are simple and don’t break the bank because if you know me, I’m all for saving money! I do like to switch up where we shop to keep it interesting. Some days we don’t want to do ANYTHING because we’re so tired from the busy week. Those days we love to lounge around and watch Netflix and snack. However, when we are having beautiful and pleasant weather we all go hiking and cook a huge dinner afterwards. It varies. Whatever we end up doing, I love as long as we are all together. That’s most important to me.
Hope you all have a great weekend! Till next time,
